In Fortnite, there are several ranks in competitive play. They go in this order: Open League, Contender League, and Champion League. Each league has divisions within it, numbered from 1 to 10.

From my own grind, it was Open League first, then Contender League, and finally Champion League. Each has its own divisions to power through.
