Honestly, just collect what you love. If you're into the art, go after the full art or holographic cards. Some of the newer sets have amazing artwork. And if you're into the competitive scene, look for powerful cards or staples in the meta.

Charizard cards, period. Everyone knows a Charizard card, especially the 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard, is like the holy grail of Pokemon card collecting. But don't sleep on Pikachu cards either, especially older ones like the Illustrator Pikachu, cause they're not just cute but valuable!

Shadowless cards are where it's at if you ask me. They鈥檙e from the first print run of the Pokemon TCG, missing the shadow border on the right side of the image. Rare and highly sought after!

Forget rarity, collect Eeveelutions. Not only do they have a card for every evolution, which is awesome for fans, but they also tend to hold their value pretty well. Plus, they're just adorable.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
