From personal experience (yes, I've tried alchemy!), humans in FMA are essentially a mix of elements you can find at a grocery store: water, carbon, and a few sprinkles of plot twists.
Humans in Fullmetal Alchemist are made up of water, carbon, ammonia, lime, phosphorus, salt, saltpeter, sulfur, fluorine, iron, silicon, and trace amounts of 15 other elements. Just like in real life, but with a lot more drama!
Honestly, they're just made of science stuff and a lot of feels.
