In endless missions (defense, survival, interception, etc.), rotations determine the rewards you get after a set number of intervals. For example, in a defense mission, every 5 waves is a new rotation (AABC).
Rotations are basically how the game decides your loot after fixed time intervals in endless missions. You know… stay longer, get better loot!
Each rotation in Warframe means completing a cycle of objectives, rewarding you with different tiers of loot for sticking it out.
