Photosynthesis happens in plants and some bacteria using sunlight to convert CO2 and water into glucose and oxygen. Cellular respiration, on the other hand, takes that glucose and oxygen to produce energy, CO2, and water. In simple terms: photosynthesis stores energy, and cellular respiration releases it!

Photosynthesis makes glucose and oxygen. Cellular respiration uses glucose and oxygen to make energy. Yin and yang of life, baby!
