Meiosis has two main stages: Meiosis I and Meiosis II, each with their own sub-stages: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Just remember PMAT x2!

In Meiosis I, homologous chromosomes separate after pairing up. Then, in Meiosis II, sister chromatids separate. Voil脿, four unique cells!

First meiosis I happens, which is all about splitting up that gene pair, then, roll on to meiosis II for a double dose of chromatid charisma.
