Steam Points are basically your bragging rights in the Steam universe. You earn them by purchasing games, DLC, hardware, or even participating in Steam events. Then you can spend those points on cool cosmetic items for your profile, like backgrounds, avatars, and badges. It's like decking out your Steam profile to show off your gamer creds!

Steam points? Just for cosmetics and stuff. Nothing game-changing, but pretty neat if you like customizing your profile.

Totally disagree with the 'just cosmetics' take. Steam Points are a cool way to get something back from all the cash you drop on games. It's a loyalty program, essentially. You buy games, and you get points to make your profile look cooler. It's more engaging and fun compared to a lot of other platforms.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
