If we're being real, it all comes down to condition and rarity. That First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard is often at the top, but the real unicorns are those event-specific trophies and promos like the Pikachu Illustrator card. Rarity is one thing, but finding them in mint condition? That's the real challenge.

Oh man, you're diving into a world of legendary treasures with that question! Top of the list gotta be the Pikachu Illustrator card – talk about rare, only a handful of those exist. Then there's the 1999 First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard; that bad boy can fetch a hefty price. Don't forget about the Black Lotus... wait, wrong game, my bad. But seriously, add to the list the Pre-release Raichu cards, the Master's Key, the Tropical Mega Battle cards, and let's not overlook the Number 1 Trainer cards, the 1998 Kangaskhan Family Event Trophy card, the Espeon and Umbreon Gold Star cards from POP Series 5, and lastly, but definitely not least, the Magikarp Tamamushi University Promo card. These are the unicorns of the Pokemon card world!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
