In Demon Slayer, demonic ranks are split into the Twelve Kizuki. There are two groups: Upper Moons (1-6) and Lower Moons (1-6). Upper Moons are the strongest and most feared, while Lower Moons are still powerful but get wiped out more often!

Upper Moons rock. Lower Moons, not so much.

Demons are ranked in the Twelve Kizuki. The Upper Moons (1-6) are the elite ones, and the Lower Moons (1-6) are just a bit weaker but still pretty dangerous.

The Twelve Kizuki is split between Lower Moons (1-6) and Upper Moons (1-6). Upper Moons are really tough鈥攕eriously, they can give the Hashira a run for their money!
