Pretty much every element on the left side of the Periodic Table is a metal. Think sodium, iron, copper, gold, and lead!

Metals make up about 75% of the Periodic Table! They include alkali metals like sodium and potassium, alkaline earth metals like calcium and magnesium, transition metals like iron, copper, and nickel, and even some post-transition metals like aluminum and lead. Shiny and conductive, they鈥檙e the headliners of the element world!

Just look on the left! If it's metallic and shiny, you got yourself a metal.
