In Demon Slayer, demons are ranked in the Twelve Kizuki, divided into Upper and Lower Moons. The Upper Moons (Upper Six) are the elite, while the Lower Moons (Lower Six) are weaker but still formidable!

The Twelve Kizuki are Muzan's strongest demons and are split between Upper Rank (1 to 6) and Lower Rank (7 to 12). Upper Rank 1 is the strongest demon just below Muzan himself.

Forget the lower ranks, Upper Moon 1 can literally obliterate most of the Demon Slayer Corps solo. The gap in power is insane!

I watched all the seasons and read the manga; the Twelve Kizuki or the Twelve Moons are the elite demon ranks, divided into Upper and Lower Moons.

There are twelve ranks total: Six Upper Moons and Six Lower Moons. Upper Moons are the baddest demons around, and Lower Moons, well, they're still terrifying but not quite as strong.
