Fortnite skins are purely cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantages. You can buy them with V-Bucks or earn some through the battle pass.

Some of my favorite Fortnite skins are the collaborations with brands and celebs. They even had a Travis Scott skin after his in-game concert!
