Short and sweet: Charizard, hands down. If your card breathes fire, your wallet might too.

The holy grail of base set cards is definitely the 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard. It's the dream card for collectors and can be worth a small fortune, especially in mint condition. The Blastoise and Venusaur from the same set also fetch a pretty penny. Don't forget about the Pikachu with the yellow cheeks - a subtle variant that's super valuable to the right collector!

Honestly, most people will tell you about the big names like Charizard, but keep an eye out for the 1st Edition Machamp. It was technically a 'starter deck' card but is considered part of the base set by collectors. Not as pricey as Charizard but definitely worth something to the right buyer.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
