Street Fighter hit the scene first in 1987, paving the way for Ryu and Ken before Goku and Vegeta started throwing punches on TV!

Street Fighter! The arcade classic came out in 1987, while Dragon Ball Z didn't appear until 1989.

Street Fighter was released in 1987, while Dragon Ball Z didn't air until 1989, so the Hadouken definitely predates the Kamehameha wave!

Technically, Street Fighter was first by a couple of years.

If you're a Dragon Ball fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
