Matchbox cars were the first to hit the scene in 1953, giving them a comfortable headstart before Hot Wheels zoomed onto the market in 1968. So, Matchbox takes the trophy for being the OG in the miniature car world.

Actually, Matchbox was first. They've been around since the 50s. Hot Wheels just made things more... 'hot-roddy.'

Hot Wheels might have come second, but they totally revolutionized the diecast car game with their flashy designs and cool tracks. Matchbox started it, but Hot Wheels added the flair!

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!
