Honestly, anything before the EX series can be considered vintage. Once you hit the 2003 mark with Ruby & Sapphire, you're entering modern territory.

If it's got a shadow around the picture, or if finding it feels like digging up dinosaur bones, congrats, it's probably old. Think first few sets up to Neo Destiny!

Old? Anything not in the current rotation. Real talk though, 'old' usually means the first few sets for most collectors.

Old Pokemon cards typically refer to those from the original sets released in the late '90s and early 2000s, like Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and the Team Rocket set. These are the gems that make veteran collectors go misty-eyed!

Nah, you're all being too generous. Only Base Set cards are truly 'old'. Everything else is just 'less new'.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
