I did the transfer and got three Gold Sheldon Licenses, which let me unlock any of the Main Weapons right away in Splatoon 3! Your rank also carries over if it's higher than B-, and you unlock Anarchy Battles early too.

If you transfer your save data from Splatoon 2, you'll get a head start in Splatoon 3 with some bonuses: three Gold Sheldon Licenses to get any Main Weapon, and your skill rank carries over too if it's high enough. You'll also have access to Anarchy Battles from the get-go!
