Aversion in Total War Warhammer 2 is usually caused by cultural or racial differences between factions. So basically, your High Elves might not be too fond of those pesky Skaven!
In my campaigns, I noticed aversion mainly comes from faction traits and historical rivalries. Keep an eye on those diplomacy screens!
It's simple: different races and alignments don't mix. Think of it as trying to make friends with your arch-nemesis.
