Hajime Isayama was inspired by a visit to the beautiful walled city of Nördlingen in Germany for Attack on Titan. It's like the perfect setting for fending off Titans!

Nördlingen, Germany. Interesting choice, right?

As someone who's been to Nördlingen, I can totally see why it inspired Attack on Titan. Those walls really feel like they could keep out anything—except maybe a Colossal Titan!
