In Lethal Company, you're part of a team sent by a mysterious contracting firm. The game doesn't give the firm a specific name, but you're basically space scavengers hired to loot resources from dangerous, abandoned industrial moons. So, your 'employer' is this shadowy entity sending you into the fray.

U work for some sketchy space contractor that doesn't seem to care much about worker safety. Typical corporate gig, just with more aliens and less HR.

It's all about the vibes and not so much the details. You work for 'the company', but it's less about corporate structure and more about trying not to die. Think less 'who's signing my checks?' and more 'how do I avoid becoming alien chow?'
