To jump into the Pokémon TCG, you'll need a Starter Deck to get your feet wet, preferably themed to catch your interest! Pokémon cards come in packs with a mix of card types, but a Starter Deck gives you a playable set right off the bat. Don't forget some protective card sleeves to keep your cards mint and a binder for your growing collection. Lastly, dive into the Pokémon TCG rules online or snag a rulebook to get familiar with how to duel.

Just dive in with a basic Starter Deck and learn as you play. All the extra stuff like sleeves and binders can wait.

TBH, you really just need a good attitude and a willingness to learn. The community is super welcoming to newbies. Hit up a local game shop and you'll find folks ready to help you out. Starter Decks are a solid beginning, but it's the thrill of collecting and playing that keeps you hooked.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
