First off, check out Boruto: Naruto Next Generations! It's the sequel to Naruto Shippuden and follows Naruto's son and the new generation of ninjas.
To be honest, skip Boruto. Jump to other great anime like My Hero Academia or Attack on Titan.
From personal experience, I'd say give Boruto a go. It's like seeing all your old friends again, but with a new twist.
