You lose some inventory items, but thankfully, you keep your blueprints and upgrades. So, death isn't the end of the world!

In my experience, you mostly lose non-essential items. But trust me, it's always the one thing you really needed!
You drop items from your inventory but keep crafted items and blueprints. Death isn't fatal, but still, try not to make it a habit!
