Holo Pokemon cards are like the unicorns of the Pokemon TCG world - they've got this shiny, reflective pattern on the part of the card where the Pokemon is. Think of it as the Pokemon is performing on stage with a spotlight shining down on it. That shine is what makes it 'holo'. They stand out from your normal cards, which are more like the backup dancers with no special lighting.

Holo cards are shiny. Period.

They're basically your regular Pokemon cards but with a glow-up. The image of the Pokemon is holographic, meaning it shines and reflects light in a way that makes the Pokemon pop out. I pulled one from a pack last week, and it was like finding treasure in a sea of cardboard.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
