When your PS4 says 'data corrupted,' it means the game or app in question can't read its data files properly. This can happen due to a bad save, a failed download, or even a hard drive issue. Try deleting and reinstalling the game or app as a first step.

Data corrupted basically means your PS4 has encountered an error reading or writing data. This can happen if the file system gets disrupted, like during an unexpected shutdown. You can usually fix it by rebuilding the database in Safe Mode.

Hot take: If you see 'data corrupted,' it's time to give up and start fresh. Just kidding. But seriously, a reinstallation usually does the trick.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
