EX means 'Extra' and GX stands for 'Generation X' in Pokemon cards. EX cards were a big deal because they brought super powerful Pokemon into play, but getting one knocked out costs you extra prize cards. GX cards introduced a unique, once-per-game attack that could turn the tides massively but requires careful timing. Both types add a cool layer of strategy to the game.

EX and GX on Pokemon cards are basically like supercharged versions of regular Pokemon. EX cards, introduced first, give you powerful Pokemon that can really tip the scales in a battle. But they're a double-edged sword because if your opponent knocks one out, they get to take two Prize cards instead of one. GX cards up the ante with even stronger Pokemon and a special GX move that you can only use once in a whole game. So you gotta strategize when to unleash that epic move!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
