Foil on Pokemon cards basically means they're the shiny ones. They have a special coating that makes parts of the card, like the background or the Pokemon itself, look shiny or holographic. It's not just about looking cool (which they totally do); foil cards are often more sought after by collectors because of their rarity and aesthetic appeal.

Actually, not all foil cards are created equal. Some have the foil just on the Pokemon, others have it on the entire card. But yeah, they're mostly just for bragging rights and to make your deck look awesome.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
