What Does Foil Mean for Pokemon Cards?
LettingTail路6 months agoFoil on Pokemon cards basically means they're the shiny ones. They have a special coating that makes parts of the card, like the background or the Pokemon itself, look shiny or holographic. It's not just about looking cool (which they totally do); foil cards are often more sought after by collectors because of their rarity and aesthetic appeal.

Actually, not all foil cards are created equal. Some have the foil just on the Pokemon, others have it on the entire card. But yeah, they're mostly just for bragging rights and to make your deck look awesome.
Foil cards are the bling of the Pokemon world. They sparkle!
