'Overwrite character' in GTA 5 means you're gonna replace your current online character with a new one. So if you're attached to your virtual criminal's looks or achievements, think twice! 'Overwrite character' is just what it sounds like - you delete your old character and start fresh. Make sure you really wanna do it, because there's no 'oopsie' button to undo it.
It’s a big decision, really. I ‘overwrote’ my first character thinking I could keep some stuff, but nope, it’s a clean slate. Like, everything goes - money, houses, cars. Gotta start from scratch. Make sure you’re 100% sure before hitting that button.
