The scavenging station in Fallout 4 is like a treasure hunt on autopilot. You assign a settler to it, and they magically find extra junk for you while you're out saving the world or building the ultimate fort. It's super handy for crafting and building since you never seem to have enough screws or adhesive.

Honestly, it's not a game-changer. I barely noticed any difference in junk collected. If you're efficient at scavenging during missions, you'll gather way more materials than your settlers ever will at that station.

It just gives your settlers something to do, so they aren't all just wandering around aimlessly. Plus, it's a good way to passively gather materials for all your crafting needs. Just remember, you actually need to assign someone to it, or it's just a decoration.
