XS and XL in Pokemon GO just mean extra small and extra large, respectively. It's all about the size of your Pokemon!
As someone who's caught a ton of these critters, I can say XS and XL just refer to the size variations of the Pokemon you catch. No big deal鈥攍iterally!
XS means your Pokemon is smaller than average, while XL means it's larger than average. It's like Goldilocks but for Pikachu.
