The metals include alkali metals (Group 1), alkaline earth metals (Group 2), transition metals (Groups 3-12), post-transition metals, lanthanides, and actinides. In other words, if it's shiny and conducts electricity, it's probably a metal!

Most elements fall under the metal category! Think of the whole left side and center of the Periodic Table, from Alkali Metals like sodium (Na) to Transition Metals like iron (Fe) and even the Lanthanides and Actinides. Shiny, conductive, and generally awesome!

About 91 out of the 118 elements are metals. Check out everything from the shiny transition metals to the reactive alkali!

Most of the Periodic Table is metal! If it's shiny, conducts heat/electricity, and feels solid, then yeah, it's a metal.
