In the last two seasons of Tokyo Ghoul, Kaneki forms a new organization called Goat and continues to struggle with his identity. Season 3 (Tokyo Ghoul:re) introduces a Kaneki with amnesia working for the CCG under the alias Haise Sasaki. Season 4 wraps up with intense battles, the defeat of the main antagonist Furuta, and Kaneki eventually finding some peace in his dual nature.

Basically, Kaneki has memory loss, joins the CCG, fights a bunch of ghouls, and ends up forming his own group to bring humans and ghouls together.

Season 3 is all about Kaneki with amnesia working under CCG as Haise Sasaki. Season 4 sees him regain his memories and confront his past.
