Tsukiyama got really messed up after Kaneki disappeared. He starved and lost his marbles for a while until friends pulled him out of it.
Shuu ended up in a pretty dark place, nearly starving himself to death after Kaneki's disappearance. Later, though, he makes a comeback and finds purpose again with Kaneki at Goat.
Master Shuu Tsukiyama, the Gourmet Ghoul, faced a rough time after Kaneki's disappearance. He got super depressed and weak, going on a hunger strike because he couldn't find any other 'delicacies' to satisfy his cravings. Eventually, he bounced back with a little help from his friends and became a strong ally for Kaneki!
