After GTA 5, Michael definitely went on to become a movie director or something. I mean, the guy's got drama in his blood!

Well, the answer kinda depends on how you played the game. If you picked ending A or B, things don't look too bright for Michael. But, in ending C, he's doing just fine, chilling and continuing his life in Los Santos, maybe dabbling in the film industry a bit more. Rockstar hasn't officially continued his story post-GTA 5, so anything beyond the game is up to the player's imagination!
