There isn't a Mortal Kombat 8—right after Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Midway and Warner Bros. cooked up Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and kind of skipped MK8 altogether.

Mortal Kombat 8 technically never existed! The series jumped from Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (MK7) to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, which is often considered MK8. The next mainline entry was the reboot in 2011 simply titled Mortal Kombat.

Hot take: Mortal Kombat 8 is just a myth! The series rebooted right after Armageddon.

Mortal Kombat 8 got lost in the timeline! After MK: Armageddon, they released MK vs. DC and then jumped straight to the 2011 reboot.

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
