She got eaten! Big Mom ate her and the kids during a crazy hunger pang without realizing it. That’s how she got her devil fruit powers.

Mother Carmel disappeared during Charlotte Linlin's (Big Mom) sixth birthday party. The truth, though quite dark, is revealed through a flashback showing that Big Mom, in a fit of hunger for Semla, unknowingly ate Mother Carmel and the other children who were trying to calm her down. This incident gave Big Mom the powers of Carmel's Soru Soru no Mi, but the full realization and horror of what happened were never acknowledged by Big Mom herself.

IMO Mother Carmel just pulled a Houdini. She planned to sell Big Mom anyway, maybe she just vanished with her devil fruit powers. ?✨

Nope, no mystery magic trick. Big Mom straight up accidentally ate Mother Carmel during her birthday binge. That's how she got her soul powers.

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
