Quan Chi just couldn't let him rest in peace. He was brought back as an undead warrior, and the rest is Revenant history.

Basically, he died, got revived by Quan Chi, and now he's a brooding, brainwashed shadow of his former self. Revenant life, am I right?

When Kung Lao died, Quan Chi revived him as a revenant to serve the dark forces, and he remained under that control throughout the story in Mortal Kombat X.

Quan Chi revived him because why wouldn't you want a badass shaolin monk on your dark side?

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
