Ryder? Oh, he takes a permanent vacation during 'Pier 69'. Dude thought he could double-cross Grove Street and just sail away. Spoiler: he couldn't. CJ and Caesar made sure of that.

Actually, I kinda felt bad for Ryder. His character takes a dark turn, and then he's suddenly out of the picture after 'Pier 69'. Not the most glorious exit for a character who was pretty interesting in the early game.

In GTA San Andreas, Ryder meets his demise during the mission 'Pier 69'. After betraying the Grove Street Families to work with the Ballas, Ryder tries to escape on a speedboat but gets gunned down by CJ (the game's protagonist) and Caesar. It's a pivotal moment in the game that cements Ryder's fate as a traitor to his former gang.
