Epic Games moved 'Save the World' out of Early Access and decided to slow down major updates for it to focus more on Battle Royale and Creative modes.

Save the World is still around, but it's definitely taken a back seat to Battle Royale and Creative. Less updates, but still fun if you're into PVE!

As someone who still plays Save the World, I can tell you it's not dead, just gets fewer updates. Still enjoyable if you're into co-op PVE!
