Street Fighter x Tekken came out in 2012, but it didn't really catch on. The gem system and balancing issues turned off a lot of players.

Yeah, Street Fighter x Tekken had potential but got bogged down by DLC controversies and some gameplay mechanics that didn't sit well with fans.

Street Fighter X Tekken had a rocky launch with controversial on-disc DLC and balance issues, which led to a mixed reception from fans.

I played it back in the day. The crossover was fun, but it couldn't maintain the player base to keep it alive.

Honestly, the hype died fast due to gameplay and balancing issues. A real letdown for both Street Fighter and Tekken fans.
