Between Tokyo Ghoul: Re season 1 and 2, there's a time skip where Kaneki, now known as Haise Sasaki, gets his memories back and becomes the One-Eyed King. This period also includes his struggle to reconcile his dual identities and lead a ghoul uprising against the CCG. It sets the stage for all the intense battles in season 2!
Kaneki wakes up, remembers who he is, and things get wild. Basically, he decides to take charge and kick some serious CCG butt!
