When you die in Fallout 76, you don't lose your gear or weapons, which is pretty cool. You do drop all the junk you've been collecting on your journey, though. This junk drops into a paper bag at your point of death. You can respawn at a nearby location, but if you want your stuff back, you'll need to hoof it back to where you died.
