What inspired Dragon Ball?
CaringEthos路4 months agoAkira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, was heavily inspired by the classic Chinese novel 'Journey to the West' and Hong Kong martial arts films. Goku's character, in particular, echoes the Monkey King from that story!

From what I've read, it's 'Journey to the West' and some crazy martial arts movies Toriyama loved. Simple but genius!
