A Commander card in MTG is a legendary creature or sometimes a planeswalker with the new ability to be a commander, which you choose to lead your Commander deck. It's not just any card; it’s the heart and soul of your deck, setting the tone and the colors you can use. Think of it like choosing your character in a video game; your Commander card dictates the rest of your strategy!

Commander cards? Absolute backbone of the format. You pick one, and your entire deck revolves around it. Can't just slap any ol' card in that spot. Has to be legendary, and trust me, the more synergistic with your deck's theme, the better!

Too much emphasis on commanders, IMO. Just pick one you like; the real fun is in the 99 other cards you get to play.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
