Well, it's kinda like asking if a tomato is a fruit or a veggie. Ertl and Hot Wheels are two different toy brands. Ertl is known for their detailed diecast models, mainly focusing on farm equipment and vehicles. Hot Wheels, on the other hand, are all about those cool, flashy cars and insane track sets. So, an 'Ertl Hot Wheels' is a bit of a mix-up in terms. Maybe you've got a crossover toy in mind, but as far as the brands go, they roll on different tracks.

Ertl doesn't make Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels is its own brand under Mattel, famous for those sleek, small-scale cars and wild tracks. Ertl specializes in agricultural and industrial diecast models. Two different lanes, same awesome diecast highway!

Actually, there's no such thing as an 'Ertl Hot Wheels'. It's like saying 'Nike Adidas shoes.' Hot Wheels is its own brand, mate. Ertl sticks to tractors and such.
