I always go with a hull strength between 10 and 15, and it's worked fine for me so far. Just remember to add reinforcements before expanding too much.

Always aim for a hull strength of at least 20 or higher! That way, your base can withstand more pressure and any pesky leviathans trying to wreck your crib. Reinforce those walls!

Honestly, anything above 10 is solid. As long as you're reinforcing, you'll be good. Don't stress too much about it!
