Base Set 2 cards are just reprints and don't add anything new. Overrated if you ask me.

Got my hands on some Base Set 2 packs back in the day and it was like hitting the jackpot. The nostalgia hit hard with those holographic cards. It was a solid mix from the earlier sets and felt like a greatest hits album of Pokemon cards.

Base Set 2 is basically a sequel to the original Base Set of Pokemon cards. It鈥檚 like the Empire Strikes Back of Pokemon TCG, remixing the classics with a fresh coat of paint. What makes it special is that it鈥檚 a compilation set, meaning it includes cards from both the original Base Set and the Jungle expansion. So, if you missed out on some cards the first time around, Base Set 2 was your second chance at glory!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
