The mercy rule means the game stops early if one team is winning by 10 or more runs after the seventh inning. Simple as that.

From my experience, the mercy rule in MLB The Show 23 cuts the game short once a team is up by 10+ runs after 7 innings. Saves time, but doesn鈥檛 save your pride!

In MLB The Show 23, if you're getting clobbered by 10+ runs after seven innings, the mercy rule kicks in and puts you out of your misery.

If you're a MLB The Show Companion App player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in MLB The Show Companion App essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
