Monarch is a mechanic in Magic The Gathering that was introduced in the Conspiracy: Take the Crown set. Basically, a player becomes the Monarch after certain conditions are met, like playing a card that grants them the title. Being the Monarch lets you draw an extra card at the end of your turn. However, if another player deals combat damage to you, they steal the crown and become the Monarch instead. It's a fun way to add more strategy and competition to the game!

It's just a fancy title to fight over that gives you extra cards. No biggie till someone snatches it from you, then it's war.

Monarch is all about getting an extra card each turn. Whoever is the monarch at the end of their turn draws a card. But beware, if someone hits you with their creatures, they get the crown!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
