Gotta say, the Pikachu Illustrator card is the unicorn of Pokemon cards. But don't sleep on the Blastoise #009/165R Commissioned Presentation Galaxy Star Holo - said to be a test print before the TCG officially launched, making it uber rare!

Hands down, the Pikachu Illustrator card grabs the top spot for rarest Pokemon card out there. This card was given to winners of a 1998 illustration contest in Japan, and only a handful exist. Super close second would be the 1996 Pokemon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Charizard. The nostalgia and the chase for a perfect grade make this one a treasure trove for collectors!

No way, Charizard is overhyped. The real gems are the Pikachu Illustrator and that Blastoise Commissioned piece. Those are the true unicorns in the Pokemon world.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
